Beautiful metal enamelled road name sign dating from the early 20th century, possibly even earlier. It is a large sign measuring approximately 134cm (4ft 5") long and 18cm (7") wide. It is traditional in shape and style with white letters on a blue background.
It was originally manufactured in Birmingham and has the makers mark "Patent Enamel Co. Birm'm"
It is in good original condition with a great look and it displays beautifully. Structurally it is very good and the metal is holding up well. There is some slight corrosion at one end but nothing major. There are some small damages to the enamel and some patches of rust here and there but nothing that detracts from it overall. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready for display.
