An attractive and good quality 'Smoker's Bow' or 'Captain's' armchair dating from the early 20th Century. It has a comfortable wide and deep elm seat with broad arms supported by turned spindles. The chair stands on ring turned legs joined by a double stretcher.
It is approximately 30” (76 cm) high and it is 24” (61 cm) wide across the arms. The seat is approximately 18 1/2” (47 cm) deep and 16 1/2” (42 cm) high.
It is in good condition for its age. It has developed a nice aged patina and is a strong and sturdy chair. The chair is not without a few small marks and signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental.
