Product Details

Superb example of an early 20th Century electric shock machine contained in its original wooden box with lots of accessories. There is a metal on/off switch and three terminals for connecting the probes, labelled 'Primary' 'Primary/Secondary' and 'Secondary'. There are a further two terminals at the rear connecting the coil to the batteries. In the top section of the box are two large Dry Cell Batteries.

The machine comes with two original probes with beautiful turned wooden handles. There are two metal screw-on attachments and three various pads that all attach to the wooden probes. There are terminals on the handles for connecting the wires. All of these bits are stored in a section in the top part of the box alongside the batteries.
The whole machine is in a good quality wooden box with its original leather carrying handle and metal latches.
Approximate Measurements :
Height of box : 7 1/2" (19cm)
Width : 6 1/2" (16cm)
Depth : 6" (15cm)
I have not attempted to test the machine (!) and it is being sold as seen. The batteries are presumed not working and are there for display only. Ovrall it is in good condition for its age. The box has some scuffs and knocks picked up over the years but nothing major. It's a lovely machine and displays very well. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
