A lovely oak desk chair dating from the early 20th Century. It is a good comfortable chair and very well made. It has a lovely shape with a curved back and wide comfortable seat with its original light brown leatherette seat. It has four splayed legs and the chair swivels on a large bolt and is adjustable in height.
It is approximately 34 1/2" (88cm) high. The seat is approximately 16" (41cm) deep and 17" (43cm) wide.
It is in excellent condition for its age. It has developed a lovely aged patina and is structurally sound. The chair is not without a few small marks here and there and one of the wooden caps covering a screw is missing on the back (see photo) but nothing untoward or detrimental for a chair of this age. The fabric seat is in good condition with no splits or tears and the mechanism for swivelling and adjusting the height is in good working order.
