An unusual Dutch Biedermeier style chest of drawers dating from the mid 19th Century. They are made of oak and have four drawers flanked by turned columns. The drawers have their original ornate brass handles with matching escutcheons and these are complimented by brass details on the columns.
They are in good condition for their age and are strong and sturdy. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. They have picked up various signs of age and use, some small knocks and minor marks and there are some old repaired shrinkage splits in the sides and a few other small repairs but nothing untoward or detrimental. They have been cleaned and gently polished and are ready for use.
