A great example of a double tambour fronted filing cabinet dating from the early to mid 20th Century. It is well made and a good quality piece with panelled sides and a lovely warm colour.
Both units have an attractive tambour front with a wooden cup handle and they come with their original working keys. Each side has 9 internal drawers with shaped oak fronts, giving 18 drawers in total. The inside of the trays are stamped with the logo "The Crusader. Modern Office Furniture"
It is in good condition for its age and is a very usable piece. The tambour fronts slide smoothly and the trays are generally clean and tidy and open well. It is not without signs of age and use, some small marks and knocks here and there and a few old ink stains in the drawers but nothing detrimental and it displays well.
