Beautiful wooden decoy duck dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. He is hand carved and hand painted to represent a traditional mallard duck. He is very naively made and has small old screws for eyes.

The duck is showing significant signs of wear and use. There are many areas of paint loss and marks on the wood and there are some old splits. However it is these signs of wear that give the duck its charm. It has got a lovely distressed authentic look and the patina is just lovely.
