Good example of a large original ship's signal lamp dating from the early 20th Century. It is stamped "Seahorse. GB. Trade Mark. 45278". It is fitted with clear ribbed glass and has a carrying handle as well as a handle for hanging. It is made from metal coated in Copper.
It has its original oil burner and reflector inside and also a signal shutter with lever on the outside to open or close the shutter.

Height : 14" (36cm) excluding top handle
Width : 10" (26cm) including side handle
Base Diameter : 7 1/2" (19cm)
It is a nice large size and in good original condition. The lamp has been lightly cleaned is ready for display. It has a nice aged patina and is not without some knocks and scratches and the copper has tarnished over time. The glass is original and is undamaged and the lid opens well. Internally there is a little bit of rust and flaking paint but nothing major.
I have not tested the oil burner and it is sold as seen.
