A good example of an antique continental silver vesta case dating from the early 20th Century. It is stamped .830 and is most likely German. It is decorated with repousse scenes on both sides and the interior pushes out from the base to reveal the match storage inside with a ribbed striker to the bottom.
It is good quality and well made, weighing approximately 45g.
It is in good condition. There are no major damages and it displays well. There are signs of age and use, some faint surface marks, light scratches and a few small dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
