A lovely set of antique balance scales dating from the 19th century. They are Chinese and are contained within their original fitted bamboo case. The beam is graduated with weight marks and they come with a brass pan and weight, both suspended by thread.
The whole set is in good original condition and display very nicely. The case has a few small knocks and marks as to be expected and the scales have tarnished over time. T
hey have been cleaned and lightly polished and are ready for display.
