A nice example of a carved giltwood table lamp dating from the early to mid 20th century. It stands on a scrolling Chinese style altar base with the upright carved as a group of birds and foliage.
It has been rewired to modern standards with a brass bayonet bulb holder and braided cable. It is in working order and has been PAT tested.
The lamp is in good condition and is strong and sturdy. The gilding is bright and clean with a lovely patina. There are some minor signs of age and wear but nothing detrimental and it displays well.
