A lovely brass bound box dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. The exterior has brass brackets on the edges and an ornate brass carrying handle and escutcheon. It comes with its original working key and the interior has a fitted lift out tray. Perfect for jewellery, keepsakes or documents.
It is in good condition for its age. There are some minor signs of age and use, some light surface marks and knocks but nothing detrimental and overall the piece displays beautifully. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and is ready for use.
