A good Victorian mahogany window seat or hall bench dating from the mid to late 19th century. It has scroll ends and a nicely shaped frieze below the seat with turned roundels and it stands on attractive bobbin turned legs. It is in good solid order and a good size, perfect for a hall or window bay.
It is in good condition with a lovely rich patina. There are signs of age and use, some surface marks and light knocks and a small old split in one end but nothing detrimental and it is strong and sturdy and displays well.
