An attractive and excellent quality 'Smoker's Bow' or 'Captain's' armchair dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It has a comfortable wide and deep elm seat with broad arms, shaped reeded spindles and turned legs joined by double turned stretchers.

It is approximately 31" (79cm) high and it is 26 1/2" (67cm) wide across the arms. The seat is approximately 19" (49cm) deep and 18" (46cm) high.

It is in good condition for its age. It has developed a nice aged patina and is a strong and sturdy chair. The chair is not without a few small marks and signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental.
