A good example of a brass coal scuttle with arts and crafts style decoration dating from the early 20th Century. It is a traditional helmet shape with a swing handle and round foot. It is excellent quality and beautifully decorated with stylised leaves and flowers.
It is in good original condition and displays well. There are no damages, splits or holes. There are some minor dinks and dents, light surface marks and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
