A good example of an antique Anglo-Indian work box dating from the early 20th Century. It is made of a dense exotic hardwood with beautiful brass inlaid decoration and brass strapped corners. The hinged lid opens to reveal a series of lidded storage compartments and a rack in the lid for storing papers.
It is in good condition and is strong and sturdy with a lovely rich patina. There are signs of age and use, some small chips and knocks and minor wear but no major damages or losses. We do not have a key.
