Good example of a large 3 Gallon copper jug dating from the early 19th Century. It is good quality with its original lead excise duty stamps dating from the period and a "3 Gallon" label.
It is in good original condition and displays well. There are no major damages, splits or holes. There are lots of signs of age and use, some dents, dinks and surface marks but nothing untoward. It has been lightly cleaned and polished to retain its wonderful aged patina and is ready for use.
