Great example of an early 19th Century set of travelling scales for measuring Guineas and Half Guineas. They come in their original wooden case in which they fold away into and spring up when the case is opened out. Inside is the original paper label with instructions for use.
Overall the scales are in good condition and display very well. They are complete but I have not tested them for accuracy and they are being sold as a collectors item rather than an accurate scientific item!
