A superb hand painted shield to commemorate the success of "The Plough Inn" Darts Team's success between 1870-1871.
The shield is made from a single piece of wood and simply shaped with a metal bracket at the top for hanging. The writing is hand painted in gold with a black highlight and there is a simple picture of a dart at the bottom.
It is in excellent condition for its age with no damages. It has weathered slightly and there is some light wear to the writing but nothing detrimental. It has a fantastic look and has been cleaned and lightly polished and is ready to hang.
