A lovely small military box dating from the early 20th century. It is made from pine with lovely rope carrying handles. It is well made with a dovetail construction and iron strapping on the corners and edges. It comes with its original working key and the lock is stamped "1914". The inside of lock also carries the military 'crows foot'.
It is a lovely looking box and it is in very good condition for its age. There are no major damages and the interior is generally clean and tidy. There are some signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks and a couple of edging pieces are missing but it still displays well. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
