An unusual aesthetic style armchair dating from the late 19th Century. It has an ebonised beech frame with geometric patterned back rest and it stands on tapering legs. It has a padded and upholstered seat which is covered in a good quality light blue patterned material.
The chair has small delicate proportions but would still make a very usable desk chair or decorative bedroom chair.
The chair is in good condition for its age and has a lovely patina where the ebonised finish has worn attractively on the end of the arms. There are some signs of age and use, minor knocks and marks but overall the chair is strong and sturdy. The upholstery is not new and has worn in places and there are some minor marks but the webbing is strong and there are no major damages or holes and the upholstery compliments the slightly worn look on the arms.
