A very pretty Aesthetic style Ash washstand dating from the late 19th Century. It has a white marble top with a raised shaped gallery and 7 inset tiles along the back. The tiles are believed to be Minton, designed by John Moyr Smith c.1870. The table stands on turned, tapering legs with its original brass castors below. It has two drawers each with their original gothic style handles.
It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. There are some minor signs of age and use, some light surface marks and knocks but nothing major. There are some faint marks on the marble but no damages and overall it displays beautifully. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
