Good example of an original Pigmyphone, made in Germany in the 1920s. It is contained within a lithographed tinplate case with 'Bing Pigmyphone'
and the Bing logo on the top. There is a speed selector on the side which can be set to 0-1-2.
The mechanism of the gramophone is kept in the bottom of the tin. The green turntable fits above this and the soundbox and horn are fitted in the corner. All the parts pack away into the tin when not in use. It comes with its original key.
It is in good condition for its age. All parts are original and I have tested the gramophone with a few old records and it works well. There are some small dinks and light surface rust on the horn. There are some light scratches and minor paint loss on the outer of the case but the hinge is good and overall it displays very well.
