An attractive Welsh spinning chair dating from the late 18th century. It is a lovely country piece with a thick oak seat, four staked legs and a shaped oak back support with three finger holes.
It is in good condition for its age and it has developed a beautiful patina. There have been a few old repairs and it is possible that the back support has been replaced at some point. There are of course signs of age and use, some minor old marks and knocks but no major damages or anything detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and displays well.
