A good example of a mid 18th Century Welsh oak Coffer Bach. It has a simple square panelled front above a single long drawer with brass swan neck handles. It stands on small bracket feet and the lid is on traditional rail hinges.
It is in good condition for its age and has developed a beautiful rich patina over the years. There are some general signs of age and use, small knocks and marks but no major damages. It has suffered from woodworm in the lid at some point which has left a wonderful mark on the top. We have treated it as a precaution but is is long since gone and we have tried to preserve the wood in its original state while making it strong and sturdy. The drawer bottom has been replaced at some point but still displays well and the drawer opens smoothly. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
