Product Details

A good example of a small oak canopy dresser made in Wales in the early 20th century. It is an excellent quality piece and only the finest timbers have been used.

The base contains three drawers above two cupboard doors which open to a shelved interior. The drawers have brass swan neck handles and the cupboards have matching brass knobs.

The rack has two large shelves with a lip for displaying plates and there are also four small spice drawers. The sides of the rack are nicely shaped and go up to a large overhanging canopy top with dentil molded cornice, shaped apron and turned finials. The rack has a fully planked back with lovely wide planks.

It is in very good condition throughout and displays beautifully. It is not without some minor signs of age and use but this has all helped to develop a beautiful rich patina over the years. There are no major damages, the drawers open well and the interior of the cupboards and drawers are generally clean and tidy. The dresser has been given a thorough clean and gentle polish and is ready for use.
