A lovely large 18th Century oak mule chest with two drawers set on block feet. It has a panelled front, panelled sides and a planked top with cleated ends. It is engraved on the front "G.C. 1734". The hinged lid opens to reveal a large storage area. It has the original blacksmith made hinges.
It is in good original condition throughout and is strong and sturdy with a beautiful rich patina. The back is clean and the hinges are strong. The drawers run smoothly and have good quality brass plate handles. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
