A superb oak lowboy dating from the late 18th century. The top has a moulded edge and a beautifully cross banded border. It stands on cabriole legs terminating in pad feet with an arrangement of three drawers around a central shaped frieze. Each drawer has a small brass plate handle.
It is in good original condition with a beautiful rich patina. There are some signs of age and use, a few marks and stains on the top but the table is strong and sturdy and the drawers open well. There have been a couple of repairs to small chips on the feet and a couple of repairs and small losses to the cross banding but nothing detrimental. There are signs of historic worm in the drawers which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the table structurally or aesthetically.
