Product Details

A good example of a 17th Century solid Sterling silver Trefid spoon with rat-tail handle. It has the traditional upturned three pronged end with original engraved initial 'B' above 'W.A' on the reverse.

It has a good set of hallmarks, although slightly rubbed, the maker's mark I.L is very clear as is the date mark for 1696. The lion passant and London mark are more rubbed but still visible. The spoon weighs approximately 56g.

It is in good condition for its age with no major damages. There are some faint surface scratches and a few light marks and dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and it displays beautifully.
