A large antique dinner gong dating from the late 19th Century. It is a good quality piece and the bronze gong hangs in an oak frame with nicely carved detail on the top, turned finials and sleigh feet. It also comes with its original wooden handled beater with brass collar.
It is in good condition for its age with a lovely patina. There are some minor signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks and a few small chips around the frame but nothing detrimental and it is strong and sturdy. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
