A good quality Victorian Chaise dating from the mid 19th Century. It has an elegant shape and is not too big or bulky. The back is gently curved with buttoned detail and it has a scrolling side support with carved rosewood arms. The chaise is supported on carved scrolling front legs and square back legs, each raised on ceramic castors.
It has been recently upholstered in a good quality pale green / grey fabric. The frame was also strengthened during upholstery.
It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are some signs of age and use on the woodwork, some minor splits and small knocks around the legs and metal brackets have been put on to support the rear legs. The upholstery is clean and tidy with no major marks or issues.
