A lovely mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. They are good quality and a particularly small size. The drawers have brass plate handles which, although are not original, suit the piece well and it stands on tall sweeping bracket feet.
It is in very good condition for its age. The oak lined drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are the usual small signs of age and use, some minor old marks and knocks and a couple of old stains on the top but nothing detrimental and it has a lovely colour and patina. There have been a couple of old repairs to the tips of the feet but nothing untoward and it is strong and sturdy. The chest has been cleaned and lightly polished and is ready for use.
