A large oak chest of drawers dating from the early to mid 19th Century. There are two short over four long graduated drawers, each with turned wooden knobs and it stands on bracket feet. They are a good quality country set of drawers and the oak has a lovely warm colour.
They are in good condition for their age and are strong and sturdy. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are signs of age and use, some minor knocks and small marks and chips and some old surface stains on the top but nothing detrimental or untoward. There are some signs of historic worm in the backboards which has all been treated as a precaution. The chest has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
