Product Details

A superb mahogany dressing table or sideboard dating from the early 19th century. It has an arrangement of 9 drawers around a central kneehole with an additional three drawers set back into the recess. Each drawer has brass swan neck handles which, although aren't original, suit the piece well. It has an overhanging top and stands on bracket feet.

It is in excellent condition and is clean and tidy throughout having been sympathetically repolished in our workshop. The timber is good quality and the patina on the mahogany is superb. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. We believe that the top may have been replaced at some point in its life but it isn't detrimental and the whole piece displays beautifully. There are some minor signs of wear and age, some small knocks around the base and a few old marks and stains on the top but nothing untoward and it is ready for use.
