A good example of an antique silver capstan style inkwell complete with a glass liner. It is a stylish and good quality piece with an octagonal base and hinged lid.
It is hallmarked for A & J Zimmerman Ltd, Birmingham, 1915.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are no major damages, just some faint surface marks, a few light scratches and minor dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
