Product Details

A lovely oak roll top desk dating from the early 20th Century with an attractive tambour front. The desk has a central kneehole with 4 graduating drawers either side, each with shaped wooden handles. The tambour front rolls back to reveal a fitted interior with a series of small pigeon holes and drawers. The sides are nicely panelled and it stands on small castors.

It comes with its original working key which, when the roll top is locked, also locks in place all of the desk drawers as well.

The desk can be unscrewed and split into three sections so it is easy to move.

It is in good condition for its age and the roll top opens and closes smoothly. The interior is generally clean and tidy and all the drawers open well.
It is not without some signs of age and use and there has been some restoration over the years. There are some light marks, minor old splits and some knocks and small stains but there are no major damages and overall it displays well. The desk has been cleaned and given a light wax and polish and is ready for use.
