A lovely globe shaped ship's lantern dating from the early to mid 20th Century. It is made of metal which has been painted black and has a hanging handle and a chimney. It has a round glass centre with a protective cage.
It would have likely been fitted with an oil burner but this has been removed and it has been converted to electric and is wired to take a standard bayonet bulb.
Approximate Measurements:
Height : 16" (41cm)
Width : 10" (26cm)
It is in good original condition. The glass is original and undamaged. There are many areas of age and wear, some paint loss and surface marks but overall it displays well.
