Victorian Desktop Stationery Cabinet
A beautiful oak stationery cabinet of the highest quality with a lovely warm patina and a sloped front with brass escutcheon.
The doors opens up to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters. There is a perpetual calendar in the top and it comes with one original glass inkwell. In the side door is a writing slab which wipes clean and a series of pins which can have ribbon attached to make a web to hold papers and documents etc. There is a large sliding drawer at the bottom of the cabinet.
It is in good original condition and although it has been used it has obviously been very well looked after over the years. There are a few small knocks, chips and marks around the outside and general signs of age and light use but nothing detrimental. The doors have shrunk slightly over time and we do not have a key but overall it displays beautifully.
