A superb large glass pot, likely a vanity or dressing table pot. The pot itself is good quality heavy glass with a swirled design and star cut base. The silver lid has a large rectangular handle and frosted glass stopper below. Both the lid and collar are hallmarked for London 1895 and J.G&S for John Grinsell & Sons. The hallmarks are slightly rubbed but still clear and readable.
It is in good condition for its age. There are no cracks or major damages to the glass. There are some minor surface scuffs and small marks around the pot and a very small chip on the base but nothing detrimental. There are some minor links and marks on the silver lid but overall it displays beautifully and is certainly usable.
