A lovely old cash till dating from the early to mid 20th Century. It is a good quality item made of solid mahogany with a brass cup handle on the drawer and matching brass escutcheon. It is a very pretty decorative piece - great for a shop or around the home. It comes with its original woking key which locks the lid. The inner mechanisms look to be complete and the drawer runs smoothly. It has its bell however it does not 'ding' on opening the drawer, only on firmly closing.
It is in good condition and has clearly been well looked after. The wood has a nice aged patina and inside it is clean and tidy. It is not without some minor knocks and scuffs which add to its age and character but there is no major damage. It has been cleaned and the brass parts lightly polished and it displays very nicely.
