Antique Leather Gun Case
A good quality leather gun case with brass corners dating from the late 1800s. It is in good condition for its age and has been well looked after. There are signs of age and use and wear around the edges and corners. The straps are believed to be original, as are the brass corners but it has had a new good quality stitched leather handle at some point. It is missing one of the leather bands for the strap to thread through but overall it displays very well and is certainly usable.
Inside the case is sectioned and lined with red felt. This is worn in places and has some small holes along the fold. There is also an end section which looks like it has been repaired in a newer felt and part of the sectioning wall isn't complete (See photo).
