Antique Oak Armchair
A lovely oak armchair dating from the early 19th Century. It is typical of a 17th century Wainscot style chair with a panel back, solid seat, turned front legs and gently curved arms. It has a wonderful rich patina and the arms and beautifully worn at the ends through years of use. It has a good country look and is a solid sturdy chair. There are some historic repairs and signs of old worm in the bottom of the legs which have all been treated as a precaution.
The chair stands approximately 44" (112cm) high, the seat is 15 1/2" (39cm) deep and arm to arm the chair is 22" (56cm) wide.
