Clarice Cliff Preserve Pot

in the 'Crocus' Pattern

circa 1930

Good example of a popular Clarice Cliff pattern beautifully hand painted on a small preserve pot. The pot displays very well and is unmistakably Clarice Cliff. The pattern shows her distinctive orange, blue and purple crocus flowers above a cafe au lait ground with a yellow and green banded lid with orange finial.

The pot is fully stamped and signed on the underneath with "Royal Staffordshire Crocus by Clarice Cliff. Clarice Cliff Newport Pottery Co England."

Approximate Measurements :

Diameter : 3" (8cm)

Height : 3" (8cm)

It is in good condition for its age and the colours have remained bright and vibrant with very little rubbing or losses. There are no major damages or restoration. There are some light surface marks but nothing detrimental and overall it displays very nicely.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
