William Moorcroft Dish

Circa 1940

Fine example of a beautifully hand painted small footed bowl in the popular 'Leaf and Berries' design. The dish displays very well and is unmistakably Moorcroft. The pattern is set on a deep blue background and shows a beautiful leaf surrounded by red and blue berries.

Approximate Measurements :

Diameter : 4" (10cm)

Height : 2" (5cm)

The bowl has an impressed stamp mark with facsimile signature for William Moorcroft along with 'Potter to HM the Queen'. This dates the piece to between 1928-1949.

The bowl is in excellent condition and is a good example of an early Moorcroft piece. There are no chips, cracks or restoration and the colours are bright and vibrant. There are some light internal surface scratches but nothing major or detrimental.

A nice piece for the collector. The best description comes from the photos so please look carefully at them all and if you have any questions at all please ask.
