Live Steam Vertical Boiler
Made in Germany by Bing
Early 20th Century
For sale is a fine, large and powerful steam boiler by Bing made circa 1910. It is in working order and every last detail has been made to the highest quality. It has a double burner which is accessed through a locking cast iron fire door, stamped GBN. The boiler itself stands on a sturdy base 5" square. It has all the usual features including a water gauge, whistle, safety valve and a tall chimney. This particular model is especially nice because it has a water feed pump so that the water can be refilled without having to wait for the boiler to cool. There is also a governor which is a very nice feature.
Measurements :
Height : 15"
Flywheel Diameter : 4"
The engine is in very good condition and has clearly been extremely well looked after and cared for. It has been lightly cleaned and lubricated and tested via an air compressor and is in good working order. All levers work as they should. There are of course some signs of wear and some paint loss / tarnishing here and there as is to be expected.
A video can be found here which shows it running :
