Stick-Back Windsor Chair

19th Century

Beautiful example of an antique stick-back Windsor chair with solid Elm seat. It has a hoop back with 8 long spindles. Each arm is supported by three further spindles. The chair stands on four turned legs joined by crinoline strecther. It is a good comfortable chair, sturdy and very well made. The patina on the seat is stunning and the chair has a great look.

It is approximately 35" (90cm) high. The arms are 23" (59cm) across and the seat is 15" (38cm) deep.

It is in excellent condition for its age. It has developed a lovely deep patina and is structurally very sound. There is a small crack in the back of the seat (see photo) but it hasn't affected the chair. There is also a natural split in the wood on the back rail. It is not without a few small marks on the legs but nothing untoward for a chair of this age.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
