Troika Coffee Set

circa 1960s

Complete Troika Pottery coffee service designed in the mid 1960s by the founder Benny Sirota. Each piece is decorated with abstract linear patterns and finished with a smooth blue glaze with a tin-like sheen.

The set consists of 1 large coffee pot with lid, 1 milk jug, 1 sugar bowl and 6 cups & saucers. The coffee pot is painted and signed "Troika. St Ives.". There are stamped marks "Troika. St Ives. England" on some of the cups.

Approximate Measurements:

Coffee Pot Height : 9" (23cm)

Saucer Diameter : 6" (15cm)

Cup Diameter : 3 1/2" (9cm)

Cup Height : 2 1/2" (6.5cm)

Jug Height : 5" (12cm)

The whole set is in excellent condition and displays beautifully. There are natural firing flaws and imperfections in the glaze as is common with Troika. There are no chips or cracks, apart from one very light paint chip on the rim of the milk jug (see photo) and some very light scuffs on the paint around the bottom of the coffee pot. Nothing detrimental and overall a superb set.
