Huntley & Palmers Biscuit Tin

Circa 1906

Very rare and very fine Huntley & Palmers Tin in the shape of a Post Box. The tin was made in 1906 and features on the cover of their 1906 Christmas catalogue. It is a very nice example with embossed detail including ER the Royal Cypher from the Edward VII period.

It is stamped inside the lid 'Huntley & Palmers. Biscuits. Reading & London'

Approximate Measurements:

Height : 6 1/2" (17cm)

Width : 6" (15cm)

Depth : 4 1/2" (11cm)

It is in remarkably good condition for its age with no major dents or damage and minimal paint loss. The hinges are strong and in good working order and the lid fits tightly shut.

The best description I can give comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully. It is impossible to describe every little mark and the photos provide a full and accurate condition report.
