Mamod SW1 Steam Engine
Made in England
Fantastic model Steam Wagon manufactured by Mamod in the mid 20th century. The wagon has a traction engine front with green boiler, white wheel arches and metal wheels with a green cab and green truck bed with "Mamod Steam Wagon" written down the side. The roof of the cab and truck bed comes off to give access to the boiler and it comes with a small red funnel for filling the water tank. Below the water tank is the fuel burner. On top of the boiler is the steam whistle and also a reverse lever. It has both of its original drive bands, connecting the pistons of the engine to the wheels.

The whole thing looks like it has been very well cared for and looked after. I personally have not had it in steam but I have tested the mechanics by way of a small air compressor and everything appears to move and run as it should.
Generally it is in very good condition for its age. It has been oiled and lightly cleaned and displays very well. It is free from any major dents and damages. There are some areas of paint which have flaked off, there are some scratches and other light signs of wear and some patches of rust in the base of the truck bed which have all been picked up through use over the years.
