Taxidermy Mounted Barn Owl
Very fine example of a preserved and mounted Barn Owl stood on a wooden stump with wings outstretched, clutching a mouse in his talons. He is very striking and has been superbly well preserved and set on his perch. He has a good position and, excuse the term, looks full of life! His eyes are bright and he has all his talons. His feathers are generally in good condition and have retained their natural colour and sheen. The mouse is also excellently positioned and in good condition. There will of course be natural signs of wear and age and some dirt naturally ingrained in the feathers but overall he displays very well.
He is best appreciated from a high vantage point as he is arched over his prey. He looks absolutely stunning up high looking down on his surroundings.
He stands approximately 14" high and his wings measure 26" across. The wooden plinth base is 7 1/2" X 4 1/2"
